Autumnal Pilgrimage

I miss the seasons here in Sydney.  Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter with all their glorious weather and foliage. We've taken to going up to the mountains each autumn to see the leaves change at Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens.

We didn't see many signs of autumn this year in the gardens but the drive up had some glorious avenues of yellow, orange and red headed trees.

We arrived just in time to do a quick chukka round the kids Dino hunt. Mum helping read clues and work out where to go and Dad bringing Little Bun at the back of the scrum.

And we finally made it just in time for closing time at the gardens, handing in treasure hunt questionnaires to get a wee bug prize.

Love these little family treasures we find on these days out.

It was glorious weather to start off with and the rain kindly held off until we reached the car.
What did you get up to over the Easter break?

  2. What a great place....we don't have any dramatic seasonal changes around here other than our mulberry tree losing all it's leaves. The colours of Autumn can be so beautiful.

  3. Wonderful photos Sophie! Your girls are growing SO FAST!! The seasons here are extreme - so different to home where they seem to blend into each other and are almost over before you notice!

  5. That looks like a great way to spend Easter :)

We spent it with Davids parents at their house...which meant our boys could explore, have fun and be safe!
Love the idea of going somewhere to see Autumn changes.
