It was just what I needed to hear as I've been mulling over (for a really long time) opening a separate bank account for the Little Gumnut shop to separate money out for tax purposes and I've finally done it!
As I was sending off the copy of the business registration to the bank by email, I read at the top:
THIS CERTIFICATE MUST BE DISPLAYED AT THE PRINCIPAL PLACE OF BUSINESS
So I have framed and hung it and I have to say, it feels significant. Even though it's only above my sewing machine in the sewing space of our spare room, it feels like a line in the sand has been drawn, as though a space for a potential real business has been created, ready to be filled.
